Glock® factory magazines are pretty much the Gold Standard for strength and reliability. They are proven through decades of serious abuse by Law Enforcement and Military units, and contribute to Glock®’s legendary reputation for fail-safe function.
However, they are not maintenance-free. Extreme environmental conditions such as mud, dust and excessive carbon from suppressor use, can affect the overall performance of the pistol. To keep your magazines functioning as they should in these extremes, they require periodic inspection and cleaning.
But Glock® floorplate removal can be difficult at best, without the proper tool. Our GFRT-01 makes that job easy! Designed to remove floorplates of all Gen 1 through Gen 5 OE magazines, the GFRT-01 uses just the right amount of leverage to draw the floorplate off the magazine body without damage. Injection molded of tough Nylon, keep a few around- in your toolbox, range bag or pistol case.
(Will NOT work on Glock® 36 OE, G42/43 OE Finger Rest -style floorplates. Not recommended for the Glock G43X/48. )

Best Tool Ever Made
This is by far the best tool for removing the Glock magazine base plates. It took a little practice, but once I got the hang of it, I was able to remove the base plate in no time flat without any effort. I showed all my shooting buddies how this tool performs, and they were amazed. All of them are ordering one. Thank you TangoDown. I am a U.S. Coast Guard veteran.

This product does work but knowing how to use it is key. After a follow up with the vendor, the secret was uncovered. Rest the magazine on a solid base and hold your hand on the top of mag while squeezing. It takes a fair amount of hand strength but

I wish I had found this sooner. It removes the base plates much quicker that the Glock tool. Bonus, no more bent Glock tools! Word to the wise: Make sure your fingers are not between the magazine and the tool. It’ll get ya

Wow.....I had the G-Tul and thought that was good. I used this amazing tool and had 5 plates off before I normally take off 1. I have ordered 3 so I my officers alcan clean their mags after hard shoots. Amazing tool!!!!
