BG-17 SCAR grip: – What’s the correct fastener?
The provided fastener is for American AR pattern rifle & carbines. It is SAE thread ( 1/4-28 ) USA standard thread.
The SCAR rifle uses a Metric fastener. The thread size is 6mm ( M6 X 1 )
Note: If you read our instructions, ” Make sure the threads in your rifles receiver are 1/4-28 NFT, otherwise damage to receiver WILL result.”
The OEM fastener that comes with the SCAR will work if you use 1 or 2 washers under the head, to secure the grip. Or you can go to any hardware store etc. and buy a M6x1-30mm long fastener.”
Will the BG-16 fit the SCAR?
No, the BG-16 does not fit the SCAR due to the configuration on the SCAR rifle. The BG-16 was engineered to fit the AR series rifle as the SCAR platform was not in production at that time. The BG-17 has been engineered to fit both the AR and SCAR rifle platforms.
What is the extended and collapsed lengths of the ACB-4 Bipod?
Collapsed: From the picatinny rail surface to the ground is approximately 9”
Fully Extended: From the picatinny rail surface to the ground is approximately 11”
Does the TangoDown Glock tan color match the Glock FDE color?
Yes the Glock tan color matches Glock’s version of Flat Dark Earth (FDE).
My rifle grip won’t fit, it’s too tight:
The BG-16/17 is designed to spread open over the lower receiver tang during the installation process to ensure a tight fit. During installation line up the opening between the ears of the grip with the tang of the lower receiver and push into position. Install fastener and tighten per provided written instructions.
How do I install/remove my TangoDown MK46 vertical grip? :
The MK46 & MK46K grips are purposely machined slightly undersized to spread open over a standard Picatinny 1913 rail to ensure a tight fit. Using the provided installation tools (Grip chips, VGT-001) to depress the two locking bars then line up the cavity in the grip to the rail and lightly tap into position. Once on the rail you can move the grip forward or backward to your desired location. Once you have the grip in the desired location, remove the two installation tools and the locking bars will engage the rail.
How many rail panels come in a package?
All rail panels/grips are packaged individually except for the SCAR 2” panel (SC-002), these are packaged two to a pack.
Do you accept phone orders?
No, we do not accept phone orders, we insist all individual orders must be placed on our secure site. This is for your safety and security of personal credit card information.
Can I add items to an already placed order?
We cannot add items to your order since we do not store your credit card information. You can place another order, same day and we will combine the orders and adjust your shipping cost as long as your first order has not already shipped.
